What is a Connector?
A Connector is simply someone who introduces people.
In this case, it means connecting families to a service that can help them bundle their essential household bills - things they’re already paying for - often saving money and simplifying things.
You’re not selling. You’re not managing accounts. You’re just making the introduction.
Why this works well for PTAs
PTAs are built on trust and community.
This fits naturally because it:
- Helps families reduce everyday costs
- Requires very little time or admin
- Doesn’t rely on constant events or selling products
- Creates an ongoing income stream, not just one-off fundraising
How it helps your school
Every time a family switches services through a referral, income is generated.
That income can be directed toward school funds - supporting trips, resources, and opportunities for children.
It’s a way of turning everyday household bills into something that benefits the wider school community.
What your role actually looks like
In reality, it’s very simple:
- Share a link with parents
- Introduce interested people to me
- I handle the conversations and support
No pressure. No expectations to “sell.” Just connecting people who might benefit.
Why I do this
As a SENDCo, I already work closely with families navigating pressure - financially and emotionally.
This gives me a way to support those same families outside of school, helping them reduce costs and create a bit more breathing room.
If that can also support schools at the same time, it becomes a genuine win-win.
A simple conversation to start
If you're part of a PTA and want to explore a low-effort, sustainable way to raise funds, I’m happy to talk it through.
